  1. This privacy policy has been compiled to explain how your "personal information" can be used when you access smartaboutmoney.co.za. Where we refer to "us", "we", "our" and "Smart About Money", we mean the Savings and Investment Association - South Africa NPC trading as Association for Savings and Investments SA ("ASISA)" group of companies. Where we refer to "personal information" or "information" in this policy, we mean personal information as defined in the South African Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 ("POPI"). This privacy policy applies to individuals as well as juristic entities. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal information in accordance with our website.
  2. When does this Policy apply? You agree that this policy will apply if you access or use our website at smartaboutmoney.co.za.  When visiting, signing up for any communications and making any enquiries on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.  This policy will apply to you, and will create a legally binding contract between us, whenever you use or access our website.

We have trusted relationships with carefully selected third parties who perform services for us. All these service providers have a contract with us in terms of which they have a legal obligation to secure your personal information and to use it only in a way that we permit.

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards consistent with legal requirements where the personal information was obtained, designed to protect against unauthorized or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, use or disclosure of, or access to, personal information that you have provided to us.
